Weekend Updates (Tulsa February)

Tuesday, March 8, 2016

Hello Everyone!

The past 4 weekends we have spent visiting my in-laws in Tulsa. It is a 2 hour drive from where we live and the dogs are able to come with us. We certainly didn't plan to spend so many weekends there, we just kind of figured we wanted to get out of town since we get so bored here in Ada!

The first weekend was Valentine's Weekend where my in-laws watched the babies while we went to dinner and stayed out for the night. We snuck into the Mayo Hotel to snap some pics, it is really cool inside, very classic.

The following weekend I became a citizen and my oath ceremony was in Muskogee, which is about 30 minutes outside of Tulsa. It was scheduled for Friday morning so we stayed the night and enjoyed some light shopping Saturday afternoon.

Many wagon rides around the neighborhood.

We tried Doc's on Brookside for the first time. It is an area of Tulsa that is similar to Uptown in Dallas. Lots of neat restaurants and shopping. I ordered the shrimp and grits and they did not disappoint.

By the time Friday rolled around again, the weather was beautiful and we decided to go to Tulsa and visit the Zoo on Saturday. I am so glad we did because it was such a fun time! I hadn't been to the zoo in a while and the kids loved seeing all of the animals and exploring new grounds.

We tried Kilkenny's for lunch afterwards and had a great afternoon.

We decided to head back to T-town after another week of beautiful weather, plus the Mr.'s birthday was Thursday so my in-laws wanted to treat him to dinner.

Saturday morning we went to the Oklahoma Aquarium. I love this dress on little miss sloane!

The kids were really into looking at the fish and exploring the marine life. We had a great time, and we got some pretty cool pictures.

Miss Fishy Face.

The sting rays were one of Ford's favorites.

We went to lunch at an awesome seafood place called White River. It was so delish and would definitely recommend if you are in town.

This next week is the Mr.'s spring break, so we are still trying to figure out what we want to do.
I guess you will find out next time!
Till then,
~Mrs. S
