Lilly, and more Lilly!

Thursday, April 19, 2012

Hello my lovely followers!

Yes,
I have finally purchased my first Lilly Pulitzer items, I am so excited!

After eyeing this dress for a while, and falling in love with this skirt from my first visit to the website, I ordered them as a gift from Zac (the Cassie dress) and from myself (the Mimosa skirt) to sport on my birthday coming up in less than two weeks!

Sorry about the bad picture quality, Im still figuring this editing pic stuff out... you get the picture :)

Of course I wouldn't feel as good about my purchase without the approval of Ashley over at Loving Life and Lilly (who is a Lilly expert) so what do you think girl?!

Hope you are all having a fabulous week, Happy early Friday!

Love,
~Mrs. S

Doppelganger

Tuesday, April 17, 2012

So after missing the whole doppelganger fad last year, and seeing a ton of posts of other bloggers's doppelgangers, I decided to share mine with you. I tried several websites, but I agreed with this one the most...

Not sure about Ronaldo, and of course my husband tells me I look like Jenny from the block all the time (wish it was Eva he thought I looked like) but I have been told I look like Mira Sorvino for many years now. I wouldn't say she is my favorite actress or anything, however, I did watch Romi and Micheles HS Reunion like a million times when I was young!

What do you think, do I look like her?

Who is your doppelganger?!

I wish...

The Simmonds home is a place Zac and I worked very hard to get. We live in a community in McKinney, Texas called Craig Ranch, and I must say it is a beautiful place we are very proud to own.

Although we are very proud of our humble abode, within our community, there are high end homes  that we aspire to maybe live in one day, but for now we can just drive by and admire. Here are some snaps of the amazing homes across the road...

Aren't these homes to die for! Not to mention, at a fraction of the cost of living in Highland Park or Preston Hollow in Dallas, but just a freeway away?!

We live here, (which is a huge beautiful mansion compared to where I grew up)

But, one day.... one day... :)

Dream big my friends, I tell you, it's better than not dreaming at all...

Love,
~Mrs. S

Weekend Recap

Sunday, April 15, 2012

Friday night, Zac and I went to a sushi place down the street, it had been a while!

We had a "Texas Roll" and it had fresh jalapenos in it, you have to try sushi with jalapenos, delicious!

I wore one of the dresses my MIL got me, I don't usually wear long dresses, but I love this one.

Saturday I taught a couple of lessons and on our way back from a trip to Lowes, I took a picture of the entrance into our neighborhood, isn't it cool!?

The figures on the left is an indian on a horse helping a woman in the canoe :)

Saturday night, we headed out to the Shops at Legacy in Plano again to celebrate my sister Nancy's birthday, which is today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANCY! She is the one in the middle

Here is another close up of my dress, another gift from my MIL. Last weekend when we went to the casino in Tulsa, I spilled butter all over the bottom half of the dress, mortified that it would never come off, I had Zac take it to the cleaners and they got it off! Do you like my hydrangeas in the back?!

Back to my sisters dinner celebration story... we dined at Taco Diner and I had the shrimp tacos, soooo delicious!

Basically, I had a weekend full of cute dresses and good food!

On another note, I have decided to thank my new followers by featuring their blogs in my posts :)

Laura's fabulous blog FASHIONHYPNOTIZED is all about everyday fashion. She mixes contemporary looks with traditional lines and colors, you have to check her out!

C and D's blog Seersucker&SweetTea is a cute blog created by two high school friends who live in the South Carolina area. I wish I was a blogger in high school, I would have so many fun stories to share!

If you are not a follower, but have happened to stumble across my blog, please be sure to follow along as I write about living in the suburbs of Dallas, TEXAS and being a proud wife and mommy to two frenchies!

Thanks for stopping by!

Easter in OK

Monday, April 9, 2012

Hello Lovely Followers!

I hope you all had a fabulous Easter weekend :)

Zac and I headed to Tulsa on Friday (thank the Lord for Bad Weather make up days) and we spent time with the Simmonds Clan all weekend long.

As soon as we got there, I couldn't resist taking pictures of my in-laws side gate which was blooming with roses...

We headed to Waterfront Grill on Friday evening for a yummy dinner. This was our appetizer: crab on top, mango, and avocado...

As we were walking out, I spotted this beautiful pot with some pretty flowers, it was about 5 feet tall!

We headed home and the guys played catch with a football, look at my stud husband :)

While they played ball, I hung out on the tree..

Saturday was spent sleeping in and heading out to Talequa, OK where a family friend owns an antique shop. I didn't find anything major, but I did get a bracelet.

We went to the casino Sat night for the seafood buffet and I ate my face off: crab legs, shrimp, and tons of delicious sides!

Sunday was beautiful and started with church service at Kirk of the Hills in Tulsa, and lunch at Aunt Glo's house after. This picture was taken outside of the church:

My mother in law got me this orange dress, it was really cute!

We headed home after a long weekend, here are the girls on the way home :)

Wiped out!

Thanks for stopping by!

Love,
~Mrs. S

weekend update

Monday, April 2, 2012

Last weekend we had the privilege of going on a date Saturday night.

We began the night at Dodies cajun cafe filling up on 2 pounds of shrimp and crab legs...

Then we headed to Legacy shops in Plano for some live music and fun

I took this cool pic of the moon underneath the palm tree

We listened to the Josh Goode band and enjoyed the beautiful weather.

My favorite Dave Song, ever...

Sunday I headed over to a couple of lessons in Dallas and Rockwall then managed to show up at my nephew Benjamins first birthday party, he is a doll!

We ate good food,

Broke a pinata,

And had cake,

It was pretty awesome :)

Hope you all had a great weekend too!

Love,
~Mrs. S
