A couple of teaching moments...

In case you didn't realize already, I am an orchestra teacher. I teach violin, viola, cello, and bass (and guitar) at a middle school. I also teach private lesson as a part time job, and I have several students I have taught for at least 5 years. I began teaching Diana from as a beginner and when her parents were not able to afford lessons for her, I volunteered to keep teaching her free of charge, and it definitely paid off. She is now a finalist for an amazing program by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra called Young Strings (I was actually part of the same program and it was an amazing opportunity that helped me get to where I am today...). She auditioned last year and didn't make it. We tried again this year and she is now a finalist, we find out this week if she is an official student! I am so proud of her, here are a few snaps from her recital on Saturday.

In our district, we have an early start orchestra program we offer 4th and 5th graders, and I decided to throw my group a cupcake party! Here are a few snaps from our little soiree earlier.

How cute is Emma?!

Cupcakes galore!

Hope you enjoyed!
